Review:

This movie totally surprised me. My wife had told me it was good, and I was so glad she was right (since I had it 3 rental days from RedBox). Kevin Costner, who is usually not my favorite at all, totally came through. I felt like he was actually changed through this story. The story itself is beautiful. A coach who is forced to move to an immigrant-town and reinvent himself. To learn more about the challenge of living as a migrant worker was at times gut-wrenching. It breaks my heart for those people and the story is helped by the cross country team's success. I thought the Latino actors they cast were really good, and then to see them still together 30 years later (at the end of the movie) is really powerful. As with any Disney movie there are some cheese-factors, but overall good film.
