Review:

It's weird how "Daddy Day Care" will draw me in. I've played it dozens of times for our young daughter. I'll find myself catching up on chores only to be sitting at the TV or quoting lines in the other room. It goes off the rails a few times in the script, but through mostly Eddie Murphy's great acting it comes back to earth and ends up keeping its silly/fun mood. I know it's funnier because of the age of my kids (1 and 3), so take my review with a grain of salt, especially if you haven't seen it in a while. But if you are in a similar spot in life as me with young kids, I would encourage you to give this another watch. They nail a lot of young parent humor that doesn't age. Easily one of my top 100 funniest movie scenes of all time is when Steven Zahn, "Marvin", paints a mom's face that he's attracted to - shaking all the while he does it. I laugh every single time.
